I'd much rather see the Wellington.

Well, I'm sitting here awaiting the inevitable, 321BAR will come along and see this thread.

Short Stirling and Welington were both good craft, I'd love to see both but I give a slight edge to the Wellington. Stirling just comes up short, IMO. Gonna side with Karnak.

It is embarassing to Aces High when you have A6M2's escorting ju 88s in an event. Or better yet, Hurricane Mk I's trying to kill (let alone catch) a Ju 88 in an event. Or what about flying a C-47 with American markings to try and re capture St Vith in AvA.

All of you in Wishlist need to thnk about what you are asking for. But maybe its just wishing not asking.

The wellington, yes...important earlier aircraft.

But the stirling? It's problem was that it's wingspan was too short (had to fit into hangars) and, therefore, had a limited altitutde.  Relegated to glider tug duties in later years.

Should actually bring in the Halifax as a stable mate to the lanc.

I agree on the He111 and G4M, but not on the Ju52.  The Ju52 would be as close to useless an addition as I can think of.  The C-47 is fine for the MA, better than the Ju52, and neither the C-47 or Ju52 is useful for scenarios.  I wouldn't complain about it if the Ju52 were added, I just don't think it is a good choice.

If I had my way, for gap filling, I would want these added:

D4Y
G4M2
He111
Ju188
Pe-2
Tu-2
Wellington Mk III

At that point we would have early and late bombers for the Japanese, Germans, British and Russians along with the coverage we already have for the Americans.  I guess it would be nice to have a TBD Devastator too.
