I know alot of you guys playing Aces High also play other flight sims, so I thought to share this with you all.
I recently encountered a problem when playing AH online where the framerate would be ~5fps whereas offline I would get ~32fps (setup is PII 300,Win95 OSR2.1,TNT with detonator 2.08,96MB). Turns out the culprit was Winsock 2 drivers that were installed with the game Fly!. Now Fly! also provides a facility for removing the new winsock drivers and restoring the original ones (using ws2bakup.bat in the c:\windows\ws2bakup directory) but this by itself did not correct the problem - at least not for me. What I had to do was to run the provided ws2bakup.bat file then re-install the Microsoft TCP/IP protocol. Things work fine now, ~30fps online.
