<S> Paleoguy and his 109K4
« on: September 04, 2010, 03:04:42 AM »
I was lucky enough to run into the 109K4 of Paleoguy.  It lead to a five minute knock down drag out knife fight working from 3000 to the deck with speeds often close to 50 a the top and maybe 165-75 moving down.  Both of us had our shots and missed.  No cheap shots taken.  Finally I got lucky as I was able to follow him up as he hit stall speed and hung there for a sec.  I was able to rake his fuselage and get the kill.  It was one of those fights that makes the game worthwhile and had it been me on the dying end, I'd have said the same thing.  Kudos to those who stayed out of the fight when I asked as we'd been going at it for a while.

It's those kinds of fights that make this game such a draw for me.     IF any of you 109K focused squadrons are looking for a great 109K driver, I'd suggest you look up Paleoguy.  I initially thought I'd run into Agent360 in his 109K by the way he flew.

Needless to say, that fight made the night worthwhile. :aok

I've had some great fights with him as well. He's even backed off when some dweeb would jump in and let me finish off the dweeb before he reentered the fight. Classy guy and a good fight  <S>

Im pretty sure Paleoguy has an AH BBS account. I also ran into him a few times last night. He was fighting a friendly Spit16, so I PMed him and told him that I would leave him alone as he fought the spitty. Not sure if he won or lost, but Im sure he was at least thankful I gave him a chance at a good fight.

<S> to Paleoguy.  :salute

Did you film it?

Yes as a matter of fact.  I'd have to trim it down out of the larger film.  Bout five minutes worth of a great, fun fight.

Paleoguy's a great fight.  Always a treat, win or (usually) lose.
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

That's true...I saw it, lol!  That was after he dispatched two others...No BS Jaeger...you had the unfortunate position of getting there a bit late. <S>

I don't know whether or not I've fought paleoguy, I see him around now and then though.  Usually when I see a K4 I go to it first, because it's generally going to be a really good fight.  I love flying that bird.  One day I hope to get good in it too!  Just gotta keep studying and practicing is all.  Great plane!

To see some of the guys fly it the way they do <S> to them all.  Once I step into the k4 I become a 2week newb, I'd like to get good in it myself one day right now I'm still learning the basics.

As near as I can tell, there are two kinds.  Those who only use it's speed and fight from above, and those who can bend it like they shouldn't be able to.  It's that last bunch that is fun to run into.  When I compared Paeloguy to Agent360 it was for that reason.  Both come in just looking for a fight and can really bend that 109K4.  There are others who do that as well of course :aok
