There are a few registry tweaks you can do to improve vcache performance in win95 and to a lesser extent win98 (ME).  There are also a couple tweaks in 2k to do the same thing.

Here's a good article for 95 & 98 vcache issues I just found:
 http://onlinehelp.bc.ca/tips.htm#vcache

When I get home I'll pull up my win2k registry and figure out what 2k registry entries to tweak.  :)

Hmm, thought I'd comment on this guys Virtual Memory section.  He's right about the danger of setting the max size, but he's wrong about it having no benefit.  Since windows 95 changes its size fragmentation tends to occur.  Setting max and min prevents this.  Basically because of the small danger of running out of memory I suggested before to only set the min size.

Bloom:

I have a Dell 933 Mhz PIII PC with Windoze ME (yech)and 384 megs of Ram, and a TNT2 M64 vid card. Last night I set my Min/Max to 100 MB each. Would you recommend I set them higher, say 300 MB each?
