Obama Vists Cleveland
« on: September 09, 2010, 01:58:36 PM »
Yesterday the president stops in to speak to a select few politicians and business owners.  Shutting down airline traffic and backing it up for hours, created a traffic nightmare traveling to and from the school, and canceling college classes.

He was at my school yesterday...Cuyahoga Community College, because of where he was located for his speeches...i didnt have classes all day  :lol  never was an obama fan but he sure can visit Cleveland, OH  anytime   :lol  :aok

Although my son was happy, I was pissed that of all the places to have a small gathering of press and poo poo heads to spew your opinions and lies too, why pick a place of higher education that people pay to attend.   :headscratch:

There are plenty of public areas in town that wouldn't necessitate the closing of a school with less notice than a snow day.  In fact, their are plenty of now vacant buildings to choose from, some in very nice industrial parks turned into ghost towns due to the recent economy.

I don't think this is a big political thing, I think the OP is mad that a big speaker had to do it where he did (though I would assume he wouldn't be as upset if he liked the guy coming).  I'm sure they had various reasons for doing the event there, I can't tell you what they are, but I'll trust the Secret Service.

i would not have that person in my shop. i would not allow any of his staff in my shop. i would, upon finding out that he/they did not wish to do business with me, request that they leave. i would then go out back and barf, just from him being that close to me.

LOL kind of reminds me of the green eggs and ham story.

I do not like them in a box.
I do not like them with a fox.
I do not like them in a house.
I do not like them with a mouse.
I do not like them here or there.
I do not like them anywhere.
I do not like green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam I am.
