Wow, only the third to mention Memphis Belle, but here's my list

1. Saving Private Ryan
(1.5) Band Of Brothers (Not really a movie, but a series)
2. We Were Soldiers
3. Memphis Belle
4. Platoon
5. Apocalypse Now! (Actually my favorite movie over all, but I'm ranking my war movie list)
6. Full Metal Jacket
7. Black Hawk Down
8. Flyboys
9. Jar Head
10. Great Escape
11. Good Morning Vietnam (It's set in Vietnam, lol)
12. Zulu

i've enjoyed many of the movies listed and other's I haven't even heard of. but i'm surprised the movie Dark Blue World hasn't come up by anyone. tells the story of Czech pilots escaping to britain and fighting the air war in spitfires. Quite a film IMO

Did nobody see Enemy at the Gates?  I thought it was an interesting look at the Soviet side of the war.

I enjoyed Enemy At The Gates and The Blue Max.

There are a lot of good movies out there.... some accurate some not so much. I just posted three I like. There are many more that I just can't put in any order.

Anyone know the name of the movie about the Russian sniper vs. the German sniper in Stalingrad? i've been wanting to watch it again but i don't remember the name
