Family Fued
« on: September 12, 2010, 06:56:38 PM »
was able to be a member of the studio audience for tapings of two episodes at Universal Studios. First was the wait for 90 minutes in the hot Florida heat. Drinking a Powerade did help but not for total effect.

Then we were directed into the live studio. One word. Air-conditioninggggggggggggg!!!!!

An up and coming comedian was there giving us directions on our responses with clapping and shouting and when the answer is wrong the collective AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, the announcer called out the host, Steve Harvey, and the feud was on!!!!!!!!!

It was a blast doing that but your hands get sore from all that clapping. Way too much clapping.

During segements of taping, Steve Harvey would entertain us with his comedic style. That's why they pay him the big bucks. He kept us laughing all the time. After a part in the Fued with a question about beavers, he spent 10 minutes with us speaking in a southern drawl all about beavers, outhouses, manure and beaver stew.

The audience was go wild with laughter and he kept a good straight face until I yelled out "Get R Done" in a southern drawl. He broke and started laughing and the a few audience members was giving me the thumbs up and one closest to me said "Thank You". He raised his arm up with a fist to me and I raised my arm and fist up to return his salute with "You would be a natural on that Tour". Then he started telling us stories about Ron White and Ron White's drinking and Ron White's been drinking since 1981 and hasn't stopped since.

Went back to taping the show and more clapping. After 90 minutes in the studio for two episodes, we were done and no more clapping.

I'm all clapped out for awhile. A thumbs up will suffice for the next few months.

The young comedian did tell us that the episodes are #123 and #124. We have to call our cable provider and ask when they will be aired. That's how syndication works.

It so happened that I was in the general area of a camera when Fast Money was played. When the contestant and Steve Harvey were looking up at the big screen for the results, that's when I will be most likely seen. Just look for the person wearing a hat. I was the only one in my area wearing a hat. A Men in Balck hat but most likely not readable.

 :aok
Chuck Norris can pick oranges from an apple tree and make the best lemonade in the world. Every morning when you wake up, swallow a live toad. Nothing worse can happen to you for the rest of the day. They say money can't buy happiness. I would like the opportunity to find out. Why be serious?

My first job was a summer at Universal in Orlando.  That was 18 years ago (man, where does time go?) so I assume it's much bigger & cooler now. :)
