I really wasn't exaggerating or or BS'ing here. Had to run repair on my game again today. One important file moved. Still says no virus threats found. Some hackwers are darned sharp and a fire wall ain't gonna stop them. I've reset my IP address several times and he still finds me....

He doesn't find you, you havn't got it all clean yet.

Don't believe me, disconnect your computer from the internet for a few days. I mean physically unplug the lan cable, turn off the modem, etc.

Then continue to do what you normally do (other than surf the web)

Does it hit again? If so then you just proved it isn't a hacker didn't you.
If it doesn't, then perhaps you've proved the reverse is true.

Wipe it clean and start again, this time before you connect to your external drive, make sure you have Threatfire installed, updated, and running. Threatfire isn't a virus scanner, it just sits and watch's for the kinds of changes virus's make in windows registry, etc, then locks it in a box until you decide what it is.

Hopefully it will keep you from getting reinfected by the stuff on the external drive.

You're probably hitting one of the new exploits that spread through USB. So when you format and plug in your USB external drive you get infected immediately again.

Boot into a linux rescue cd such as F-secure rescue cd

It's the only way you can boot up safe and do a scan on your files without getting automatically infected again. Threatfire or antivirus won't be able to stop the infection it exploits core faults in windows.

Yes you're right, kinda, I did this and nothing happened while disconnected. I'm no "Techie", but I've got some brains. as soon as I reconnected it happened. So I disconnected my voip phone which runs through my PC & uses my PC for the modem. It stopped. He was using my VOIP signal or phone number...? to find me. Every time I connect my phone it starts again. I scanned the little mini-drive for the phone several times. It's clean, but is apparently traceable. Hope I'm right.... :old:

I approve this thread for entertainment purposes. In every post you almost think he's realized it, but nope. The paranoia is strong in this one.

OK guys, does a virus look for your packet & Trace files and erase them after you warned them & told them to stay off your friggin PC? Then you sent them the packets and traces from them entering your PC and taking the files & that you have them on your portable hard drive...and only after that point does the BS slow down or almost stop? They ONLY took the tracer and packet files I told them I had of their intrusions. It ain't top secret encrypted spy work, but I ain't stupid, and it ain't no co-ink-ee-dink. Some of these guys are the types that when you catch them, it's a challenge, so they gotta do it better next time, without gettin' caught. Yup, I'm paranoid too. That doesn't help at all.  :airplane:

No one is tracking you. Most likely you have a registry entry, (or ten) that keeps re-establishing contact. If you did a full reformat and this is still happening then you may have an infected usb drive, or file that you keep re-installing.
