No.  The spitfire is smurfy with clipped wings and with the ghey16 being the most capable fighter in the game already... adding more would be a travesty.  Besides, there are a whole host of other fighters that are worthy of being introduced prior to any more spitfires.  The Spitfire are covered very well, too well really.   ;)

We have enough Spitfires for the time being, IMO. I think HTC should invest more of their time fleshing out the Axis airplanes first before adding more Spits.

How about this... i wish for more clipped wings spits, in return you get a Bf109G-10 (basically a Bf 109G-14 geared for hi-alt) and remodel axis planes like Zeros to AH2 standards  :aok

Give me my Me-410, tu2 and yak3, and you may have your spitfires.

Ill allow this.

Again, I am going to disagree. Respectfully of course. Not only would it be nice to remodel the Zero and the Bf-110, it would be worthwhile for HTC to model in the Me-410, He-111, Do-17, Ki-43, G4M, Tu-2, and a slew of others that has not been represented yet. These aircraft are badly needed for the scenarios and FSOs that take place each week. Clipped-wing Spits just would contribute nothing to AH except pollute the already large planeset with more Spits.

Why do you want another clipped-wing Spitfire? It is from my understanding that you just want another ub3r late war Spitfire with lethal guns that can out-roll, out-turn, out-accelerate, out-run, and out-climb anything else in the game. Learn to fly the Spitfires already in game before making a silly wish like this.

If you fly long enough, some one can eisly clip your wings for you, few .50s would do it.

There is nothing worse than the most beautiful plane turned into something ugly.  :old:

On a serious note, why would you want an airplane with a high altitude engine have low altitude wings? It would suck all around.

No.  My original post contained only mid war spitfires.

The spits that i mentioned (detuned griffon powered XI and clipped cropped clapped Mk V) were developed specifically to at least put up a fight against Fw-190 at low alt in 1942-43.  Don't worry,  La7s, P51s, 190D and other god-tier late war planes should still overmatch and dominate Mark XII and clipped cropped clapped Mk V.

See the performance of these planes

it shouldn't cause disruption and whinefest like when spit XVI was introduced 5 years ago.
but who cares!? They gave us a 109G14 and i think its performance mirrors the spit 16 (just gotta adopt to different style of gunnery in 109) :aok
