Perhaps not.  Just a technique I was trying to explore.

Any one who would like to see a single salvo with delay drop take down half of a town (46 of 92 buildings) send me your email via message and I will send it to you.

Delay has no effect or meaning AT ALL when salvo is 1...

I've been gettin 25 or more buildings (at least full text buffer) per 1 salvo of 1x500 with a formation.  then onto the next town :)

I use 8 1000 pounders.  1 salvo, 46 buildings.

Duh!
Single salvo with delay.  Perhaps I should have said salvo all with delay.

making. Drop like that is easy, but still leaves lots of scattered buildings that need to be taken down 1 by 1, which is the hard part.

If you have the right delay and bomb line, it is.  Scattered buildings, lots of them?  See my film.  Then decide on ease and effectiveness.

most of the buildings that you get are right in the middle where they're all grouped together.  I got a crap load of them with a single 4k in the new mossie.  so when you get 46 of 92 you get all the buildings that are grouped together and a few scattered ones.  because if you were to get 46 of the scattered ones and a few in middle of town, you would need way more ords.   not that you are doing a bad job.  BTW i can take down just as many buildings dropping each bomb individually :). dropping all with a delay, wastes some ords.

just that the game is based on being as close to rl as possible.

Actually, it is not. Take your compass for example. You turn right, hey-oh! So does your compass. I believe I read somewhere that, in real life the compass would turn the opposite direction of your turn, due to magical magnetic forces of Jupiter or something along those lines. I remember reading that HiTech does not incorporate this in the game, as a fair balance between realism and fun.

Please don't post as if you KNOW it's a fact and you're the creator of the game? Please? Pretty please?  :pray

It is all a matter of technique.  Yes, there may be some wasted ords.  Government operations always have some waste :)
Two buffs on two different lines can take 70% of the town with one pass using salvo all with a delay.  A 3rd buff on a different line using a salvo of 1 and no delay will increase the total to 90%.

Yes, I know the same results can be obtained with all buffs using a salvo of 1.  I just like the feeling of being able to say "bombs away" (last bomb has left the bomb bay) and then seeing something akin to a WWII film take place on the target with good effectiveness.

My film is not large, 640kb.  PM me with an email address and I will send it to one and all.

I am sure most of use are feeling dizzy with this orbiting conversation.  I will no longer watch this topic.

i think my point was (and is definitely off topic of the thread now) was you probably would get just as many buildings with half the ords.
