Roger Wilco

Do I dare install, is it compatable with the way RW is built into AH?

I tried it, works well. Still have the transmit default to "T" though.

Whats the work around for that?

So does it come with "Gator" or something like that?

Creamo, I set both Aces High and RW to transmit on F12, seems to work okay (but haven't tried on new one, about to).

Heard in the MA last night there is one MAJOR issue with the latest version of RW.
If you don't start it as a dedicated host prior to joining AH, ANYONE can surf on in to your channel while in game, because you cannot password the channel.

Skurj has it right, not only can I surf in and listen to a bish or rooks squad comms. (Remember the MAW episode?) ANY 11 year old idiot can surf in and mess with you.

I had guys insulting my mother, swearing a blue streak at the drop of a hat. My first clue was when someone asked what game we were all playing. One real prettythang named circe was doing all kinds of fancy tricks, includeing apparently recording pieces of conversation then instantly playing them back repeatedly.

Hopefully HT can find a way to have all AH channels NOT show up on the server list.

Till then if you want secure uninterupted comms you better be joining a password protected base station channel.

I'm still using the older RW 0.54. It still works well. You can still find it with Google...search for "rw_mk1c.exe".

It is still compatable with the way RW is built into AH.

OK, so you are saying that if we disable the RW control in AH and tune RW externaly that someone can still find the ip somehow?

Is this true in Mod 1C?

Ozark & I are just doing some testing now.
He hosted a RW session with his older version, and it did NOT show up on the channel list.

So it appears only those who host in AH, with the new version are able to be seen in the channel list.
