the spit is a great interceptor and medium alt bomber hunter - but the more time you spend getting alt, the less time you have to actually do anything up there.

also, enjoy the ride down with on or both wings shot off. . .

I tend to fly 109s more often

but when I change to spitfire  I tend to lose the wings in high G manuvers in combat :o  I guess the elevator controls in spits mk 9 and above must be that good

Yeah i think some spitfire control surfaces could still work at ~800mph

But I guess I'll give it a try, as you should try the spitfire.

I tend to fly 15-20 different planes each tour and try to mix it up.

I will jump into a 16 from time to time.

I like the 8 better.

I rarely fly Spits but if I do, I usually go with the Seafire or the Spit8. The 8 is a British version of the pony, at least I consider it as  :aok

Only rarely flown the spit with some success, but when I have, its always been in a 8.
