Can't see the pics right now, but I can imagine.  :aok

Where'd you go?

Missed out on the last couple bow seasons for various reasons. Really anxious to get in on next years.

IDGAF if that is related to WWII or not.   I hope to God that rack is being sent to a taxidermist.   Congrats and I hope one day to even SEE an elk that large, let alone bag one for the meat and rack.

Nice elk! :aok

Needless to say your heart was racing after you dropped him, huh? :)

Once again, nice elk, happy hunting.

Wow!  Way to go!

I can't believe I decided I could let this year pass by without a western big game hunt...

Very Nice sir!!!!  :aok :aok :aok Being an avid whitetail hunter i have to ask...

How much did that thing dress out at? Did you have to quarter it to get it out?

Havent been on a big game hunt out west yet,Im waiting for my little hunting buddy (son) to get a couple more years under his belt to do that ( although we are going duck hunting out in Missouri this year)

Again, WTG, that is one of the nicest Elk i think i have ever seen!

Nice :aok Good to see an Oregon hunter. Been hunting elk (bow and rifle) and blacktail in the Stott Mountain Unit in the coast range every year.

Here in Kentucky, a friend and coach of mine went "elk tackling" for the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. He tackled them and they released every one of them unharmed once they researched them. Do any other states do something like that? I think he said it was like 10 years ago or so.

Looks like one I passed up when I was looking for a trophy elk! :D

Seriously though, congrats!  I agree with the previous poster - need to get that rack mounted.  BTW - if yourhaving problems storing all the elk steaks, let me know - we have room in our freezer and would be more than happy to help you out. . .
