Few people fly it because there is little reason to. Other then for that monster bomb. It doesnt do anything particularly well.
Its slower then molasses in January and takes forever to get any kind of workable alt to it.

Some of the suggestions in the wish list are good and would do much for making it something people might actually want to fly as opposed to the occasional curiosity that it is

IMO, it can't be beat as a CV killer. Sure it takes a long time to get to alt, but once you do, its nearly guaranteed that 4k of love is going to hit the carrier.

I agree completely. I wasn't trying to put down the plane or the people posting the threads. I just thought it was ironic that there is now 4 threads about a plane rarely seen going on at the same time.

Taking one up is basically a suicide mission at best.. There are quite a few requests to add the 40mm variant and I think that would put the plane back into the game at least in an anti GV role.. I'd like to see that happen but as it's modeled it's easy to see why it was withdrawn from quickly from any front where it faced more modern A/C early in the the war.. If numbers are low and you can pull it off without running into.... well... anything basically, they can be fun to dive bomb with..

Lol tarstar, I shot down a P-51 while being attacked by the 51, a spitfire, and a typhoon. Its not good at fighting, but it can fight in a pinch.

I don't disagree.. Hell, it turns pretty well once unloaded.. But I think you know what I mean

Yes, I know. Its outclassed by just about everything save the B5N2, and the C-47.

Yes it can.  The A-20 is better and now the new Mossie is far better than the Stuka for killing a CV.

About a month ago, some Muppets, WM's and Co. were bored as I logged in.   I created a Candy Mountain Mishun with 15 MOAB laden Stuka's.   I forget which Rook was "whining about a whorde".   Needless to say, the base was unintentionally taken in the name of Dan's Kidney.

Shuffler, please return the kidney after the football game.   Dan's been rumored wandering aimlessly throughout the Lockheed graveyard for it.

A20 is great for CV's but I wouldn't use a highly perked bomber to dive bomb a CV.

The stuka is fun to take up as a fighter. Me and ACK ACK have done just that before.

We had a blast in FT. I actually landed 6 kills in it that night.

I remeber joining a stuka mission about a year ago and what a blast that was! Everybody that survived the first run landed on a close by CV to rearm. Lost a lot of planes, but it was a lot of fun!

For perked aircraft, yes, the mossie is better. And you are right about the A20, the only area the stuka is better in is accuracy.

Still, its hard to beat the enjoyment you get from hitting a CV with a stuka, and seeing you've killed several uppers while you're motoring away at 450mph.
