Waste of Time?

Perd told me to read this forum because he informed me it was extremely hilarious. He didnt dissappoint me. Before I came to this forum I thought "with an entire forum devoted to new ideas in the game, dale must have peeked in this thread once or twice for inspiration".  So I took the time to read some of these threads and I wouldnt be surprised if him or some of his fellow designers did pay a visit here. A lot of these ideas are pretty absurd. Is this where the new strats, city, and mossy came from? If it is I wouldnt be surprised, but if it isnt it means that HTC isnt looking here or at any of these ideas at all, which means this whole forum is really for nothing. Some of these ideas arent half bad, don get me wrong. For example, stuka 37mm guns among other ideas. Anyway, are they lookin for ideas here or is it just for fun?

Actually, other than giving HTC a feel for what it's customer base wants, this forum has served me well in educating me as to truth vs fiction in all aspects of WWII vehicles.  There are some players that wander in here that really know their stuff and I enjoy reading what they have to say.  I've even been inspired to go take a look at information that I hadn't even remotely considered.

Another aspect of this forum that I find entertaining is the tongue in cheek humor that erupts from time to time.

The whole point is to fantasize.  If you are really really lucky your dreams might just come true.  Or not.  In any event, ENJOY YOURSELF

It's just like the christmas wishlists I made as a child.

Just 'cause I wished for something year after year it didn't mean I would finally get it.
So I put all kinds of stuff on it, and my parents picked what seemed to be reasonable and within budget. If they didn't like an item for any reason, it was just out without any explanation.

Just because there are some ridiculous and hilarious threads in the wishlist forum (i.e. this one) doesn't mean they all are.  There have been ideas that have been implemented and some of the best historical information has come out of lengthy discussions.  I'd say about all the vehicles or planes have at one time or another been wished for, and they will continue to.  However, there have also been some excellent game play ideas suggested, though not all implemented.  HTC isn't one do something that changes game play on a whim.

I can agree that there have been some hilarious wishes though.  Whether it's a 12 year old who wants the F-15 because it would "totlly b a ubr destryr" or someone who comes here in a rage about how the collision model works, these can be great.
