as someone who use to play the saxophone, can I just say he has got some lungs to be playing whilst moving like that. Oh, and I oddly enjoyed the loop

I hate to say this, but I think the only instruments he plays is the Bonerphone or the Skinflute.

found the original to judge, didn't realize this was taken from a 2 minute song that features about 20 seconds worth of saxophone. His breathing is actually convincing, although you don't see his left hand move, can't see the right well enough to judge if he is moving any fingers on his right hand (playing that range of notes would allow you to leave your left had in place without moving.) I would not be surprised if indeed he was not playing.

Sorry to take away from the original intent of the thread, I laughed when I first saw him dancing

This is from the Eurovison Song Contest 2010. All music is always coming from tape there, only voices are sung live on stage. (They used to have live orchestra, but that was dropped many years ago). The "musicians" on stage are often not the ones that have recorded the song in the studio.

The whole song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkmncrAPILw

Meh. Generic "pop sax" sound. I could never stand that tone, especially the fact that EVERYONE wants to sound like that today.

Agreed, that is one of my favorites to play around on my altos....... I have a newer buescher, and a buescher true tone low pitch made in the 30's. love how the older horn sounds compared to the newer stuff.

1956 Selmer Mk.VI with a big-bore, wide-open hard rubber Berg Larsen piece. All this talk makes me want to pick up my horn again.

And Chappy, don't make me kill you.

Man, I hadn't played the sax since middle school but this is making me want to go find one and see if I still remember how to play.

Played 3 of them throughout middle school, started with alto from 6th grade, moved to tenor in 7th grade when we created a Jazz band, then the big heaping baritone in 8th because the band director wanted some depth lol.  I used to sit that big rascal on a stack of books because it would kill my neck in class to use the strap.
