I wasnt even around the last time a perk plane got added, but to my knowledge, this was the first one since AH1 so I am currious to see what the answer to your question is aswell

Since 2002, no perk plane has been added to AH at all. The last ones being the Spitfire XIV in tour 26 and the Me 163B in tour 35. Both were perked from the start.

The Ar234, F4U-4, Me163, Me262, Spitfire Mk XIV, T-34/85, Ta152H-1 and Tiger I were all introduced as perk units.  The Ta152H-1 has since been unperked while the F4U-1C and Sherman Vc 'Firefly' have been perked.

I will defer to your knowledge. I was sure I remembered a plan, but probably thinking about tanks which were never perked at all. There was speculation before the new tanks, that they would be perked, which never happened. My Bad...
