Angus is back
« on: September 21, 2010, 06:38:03 AM »
My dear old forum friends.
I have been gone for a while, so I guess I owe you an explanation.
It has simply been busy, as well as I have had some wrestle with an illness.
The busy part means too many jobs. Not bad news basically, since the newest has been an aviation related PR job, - sort of ground controlling as well as a flying guide.
A typical tour would be like this (very nice video, and I have had my hands on that bird)
http://www.youtube.com/dabb#p/u/0/-BsngJm7i9E
(I have been there 15 times now :D)
Apart from that, guesthouse host, camping warden, farmer and with a spice of carpentry and...so on.
My illness is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflux_oesophagitis
The general problem is nausea and reduced appertite as well as fits of throwing up etc. Leaves one quite depleted, - my longest run of not being able to eat is 5 days or so.
Anyway, rest asure, I am back, slowly recovering (medication and lifestyle), the winter approaches with a new season, - the off-season that is, - and, for reflux there is nothing better than sitting upright after dinner, - even with a joystick ;)
Back on the forum, and subscribing soon. I might fly on Gyro's name soon just to brush off the rust, then subscribe personally. Will be looking for a squadron, - preferably a European based one due to the time zones. The UK has the same time in winter as we do.
Eager to start shooting again  :devil
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I was flying under the rather "109'ish" name of "Daimler" for a while, - but I have heard there is another "Angus".
But on the BB, I have always had the same name.
I did not fly for several months now. However I plan to buy a subscription and get on to the business as soon as I have my joystick, my plug (advice needed on serial-to-usb for a Precision-Pro conversion), and ... some time.
What name I find for the handle remains.....maybe "BigBull"  :D

Glad you're back and feeling better. I hope there is no relapse.
