Any idea how old that clip is and if it is "dated" what the results were?

My step son and I were out hunting the other day (his first "big" game hunt) and brought home 2 hogs that are now comfortably under refrigeration awaiting being turned into chops, roasts and sausage. YUM!!!!

On one hand. I think a business owner should have the right to run his or her business any way they see fit. Some places wont serve you if your not wearing shoes or a shirt. Some you must have proper attire (tie and coat) I dont see the how the cab drivers are doing anything much different.

Target is doing the only sensible thing under the circumstances. They cant not hire these people under discrimination law.
So you put them in a position that doesnt violate their religious beliefs. You dont see much pork in Kosher delis either.
I fail to see where there is a problem here.

On the Drug. Im not particularly for most of the drug laws but If the drug is illegal then its illegal. If enough people want it legalised then pass a law making it so. Till then its illegal and if you get caught your gonna have to pay the piper just like the rest of us.

Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

I think the issue was that the cab drivers were not independently owned cabbies but company cab drivers refusing the passengers and then whining that they were being fired for it. Target understandably accomodates transfering them to other positions, however that is only available if there is a position they can transfer them to. Our local walmart had a problem like this a while back and walmart did transfer the guy to another position..but the only position open was a lower pay one so he was suing walmart for discrimination. The guy wanted to be paid the same yet do a lower wage job. Oh and he also wanted an hour long break (on top of his lunch hour) so he could pray. what nerve.

Frankly though, if its against their beliefs to handle pork they shouldnt apply to work at a place were pork is found. A company is not responsible for their beliefs and should have every right to fire a person if his religious practices (not beliefs) are incompatible with their business.

I work on Saturdays, because my partner refuses to work on Saturdays and due to his church beliefs.  We also have some people that will not work on Sundays because they go to church then.  So 1/2 our department must work weekends to make up for these guys.

That clip is old.  The graphics and 4:3 screen.  Is that from 2003?

If you refuse to do the job you applied for then you should be fired on the spot. You don't want to handle pork then go work at a KFC and not a place that sells it.

Regardless, the guy's editorial is reactionary and one-sided. The only difference between these guys and the rest of the self-entitled twits who think corporations and laws should bend over backwards for them is that they're Muslims. You see WASPs and Southern Baptists doing the same thing.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I'd love to be able to force people to abide by my religion, the world would be a much more mellow place, but forcing people to do anything isn't really what my religion is about.

i just wish i could force some common sense on some people. i actually know a guy that thinks we should disband our military, open our borders, and disband all police forces.
i asked him if he was joking, and he said no. i had to walk away from him. i did tell him i'd like to talk to him later, after he thought the consequences through..........

other than that, i can't think of anything i feel should be forced on anyone.
