German Field Binoculars
« on: September 24, 2010, 03:47:05 PM »
One of my coworkers noticed my interest in all things WWII.  Today he brought these up to my office.  Neither he or I know any of the history behind them so I thought some of the experts on here could shed some light on it.

Clickable thumbs

Also the left lens is a bit foggy and we were wondering if anybody has any ideas about how to clean or unfog that lens

They seem to me to be standard WWII German 6 x 30 Binoculars in Bakelite Case

http://www.militaryantiquesmuseum.com/military_antiques.php?searchunder=prodid&searchfor=818

Inasmuch as they are tan. Probably from the Afrika Corps

I found these by simply using a google image search for "WWII german Binoculars"
then just matched up what you posted to what the results turned up
