Fire in the Plane
« on: September 28, 2010, 02:15:08 PM »
Since you guys made the engine to smoke;

if it's been damaged.

Do you think you can make an engine be on fire;

if it's even more damaged?

I'm kind of confused what you are asking, we already have aircraft catch fire.  Do you want the fire to be specifically from the engine and not just the airframe or wing itself?

I guess I Just don't really see the value of adding this.

You mean there are other parts of the plane that can catch fire not just the engine?

You mean the other parts of the plane that catch fire more often than the engine?

But can you still control the plane a bit, while it's on fire?

Yes, once on fire, you have a few seconds of flight.  I can't remember the range you are able to burn, something like 0-6 seconds before you die.

Until it blows up.

From watching the forumposts.. I'd be surprised if the answer was anything greater than "2 hours total."  :joystick:

I honestly would think it'd be cool if engines themselves could be set ablaze, I mean, there WERE some planes that had fire extinguishers built into the engines.

JB, maybe you should put more than 30 minutes into playing the game before you start posting stuff in the wishlist forum. Just a suggestion.   :aok
