Van Halen's New Music
« on: September 28, 2010, 09:08:24 PM »
Reinforcing EVH's public statement earlier this summer, David Lee Roth has confirmed that Van Halen is in the studio and is on track to releasing a new CD's worth of music in the spring of 2011.

Are there any other die hard VH fans out there like me?  I'm a bit sad that Mikey isn't with VH and has been "replaced" by Wolfgang, but I understand the move.  I'm just glad VH is back in the studio and getting ready to release NEW stuff!    :rock

I loved number 1. Saw them open for Sabbath on their first tour in Philadelphia (Spectrum) in 78. But as much as I hate to say it. I hope I'm wrong but, me thinks it'll suck.

They should have went out on a high note when DLR left the first time.

i liked them with david lee roth. not so much with sammy hagar. not that i didn't like hagar....i just didn't feel that he "fit" with their music.

hopefully, they'll kick bellybutton like they used to.  :aok

I'm definitely gonna buy it,  I'm not much of a Hagar fan either, but every album they released with Hagar did quite well so he must not be that bad  :bolt:

I hope Eddie doesn't play keyboards in the new stuff.

I don't think he realizes how hokey it sounds.

Okay Eddie we get it! You can play 2 instruments (kinda)

Stick with the guitar. :aok

the saddest part of this is that M. Anthony is no longer in the band.  I would rather have MA back on bass with Hagar on vox then have Roth back with wee wolfie "shredding" on bass.  Not impressed with anything I have seen or heard from wolfie, although he seems like a real nice kid.

The problem with Vah Halen has always been whats so great about it.  Eddie the M O N S T E R

I admit, I been VH fan for awhile and don't really care who the singer is. Although few years ago they had that one singer, whatver his name is/was, I didn't care much for. Although I agree Hagar as singer they did very well, but DLR seemed to get them in the main stream originally.

Gary Cherone is a hell of a singer.  He was simply expected to do too much, in the short amount of time given.   It also didn't help that EVH was at the apex of his cocaine addiction.   I blame EVH more than Cherone.
