Oct 21 "Race for the Valley"
« on: September 29, 2010, 08:55:30 AM »
Have decided to wait on a rolling map Pacific campaign.

I just don't want to run a campaign on huge maps right now.

Instead, I want to run a non historical scenario I envisioned for the twinrvr map. "Race for the Valley"

It will either be USA or Britain (probably not both) vs Germany, midwar equipment.

Each side will start on the opposite side of each river.

The bases in between the rivers will start as neutral.

The objective will be to take control of the valley between the rivers.

In order to bring the bridges into play, only GV troop transports will be enabled.

This will make river crossings necessary and will highlight the need to defend your bridges or to attack the enemy's.

There will be little to stop the neutral fields from getting porked, but I don't see this as a problem.

It will only bring the battles closer to the river side towns more quickly.

Details to follow in the upcoming weeks.

Comments or suggestions welcome.

i like the sounds of this.

will the bridges be repairable? how about other gv's? will there only be gv's to defend the troop carriers, and then the bases must be otherwise disabled from the air?

will the bridges be repairable? Yes, down time to be determined how about other gv's? will there only be gv's to defend the troop carriers, and then the bases must be otherwise disabled from the air? No, lots o tanks for good ground battles, just no C-47's so the bridges become vital

If we fly this each night of the week, some pleasant surprises can be had from the various aircraft types available!

Looking forward to this one!
