Seems to be an issue going on as there have been quite a few disco issues lately.  :salute

All kinds of hinkiness. Just played OK, but cursor froze after sortie. More trouble than it's worth.

I'm thinking this should be in Technical Support and not the Bugs forum.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

And it was moved here so he might be able to get some assistance.

I have no knowledge to help with Win7 so petty much anything I could say wouldn't help.

I have i5 core and had to get external video card. The integrated graphics chip doesn't play well w/ AH.

Lock-ups can be due to a number of things and normally they are not software related as software errors tend to cause blue screen or abnormal aborts.

However, once an abnormal abort of the game occurs, you really should consider renaming the "settings" folder to something else in the game installation directory and then test.  If it happens again, then I would suspect hardware problems.

Aceshigh has stopped working, oh the irony . I never had this problem till this latest patch. A patch which purpose was to stop just this. That's irony. :bolt:

A dialog from Windows after a game abort is not a "game lockup", but the same advice applies.  Rename the "settings" folder and see if it happens again, because once it happens there is always a chance of corruption occurring from files that were not closed properly.

Also, lose the custom sounds, if any are installed.

Thanks skuzz. Don't have any sounds installed. I hardly play lately, just an occasional sortie in/out and no problems since. Lots of comments on the text buffer about vox problems, but mine seems to be working fine.

Geez, I heard the new sound pack was awesome. Sorry to hear it is causing problems too.
