Turning tighter versus turning faster?
« on: October 03, 2010, 11:07:03 PM »
I remember there was a fairly lengthy and very good write-up on situations that favor tighter turns over faster turns and visa versa.

I can't for the life of me find that thread, though. If anyone can re-educate me on the advantages of the different turning strategies using examples (or if you can find the thread link) please do.

Thanks!

tighter turning for instantaneous turns, eg: to get guns on quickly

higher speed for sustained turns, eg: a luffberry in same planes.

a rough guide :)
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Guys that is about enough of this crap.

If you have proof, take it to HT, and it will be dealt with.
I defy you to show me one instance of someone proven to be at fault who HT protected.

If you don't have proof, and there is no way you can have it, lay off the character assassination and leave him be. You can not even prove who is behind the stick. Only HTC can do that.

You may guess at someones flying style, but you don't "know", you can not possible be 100% certain.
And without being 100% certain you have no right to destroy someones reputation. AH  trainer or not.

If I was Skuzzy I'd be getting the ban hammer out about now. But I figure another hour and he'll be here.

SgtPappy as a general rule if you're turning nose to nose you want a smaller radius, if it's a tail chase you want a higher turn rate.

That reminds me I've been meaning to talk to Skuzzy about this on the phone or in person, as I briefly messaged with him last week. Email is too impersonal and too easy to misinterpret or dismiss.

Anyways, Ghost.
We as customers make complaints. Anything we present will always be circumstantial and it is completely inappropriate to put the burden of proof onto the customer for that reason. This is something for management to investigate. Trainers and players both agree to certain codes of conduct when they log in here. Regardless of how important, or unimportant, to the future of this game those individuals may be deemed, those rules need to be enforced equally. As immature and ridiculous you may think some of us are, our complaints are usually based on legitimate reasons.

The shade accounts in these incidents have almost always been identified by more than just a particular flying style, though again, anything we say can and will? be blown off as merely circumstantial. But it's happened in such frequency and is such common knowledge by too many people to just blow off as unfounded gossip anymore. Allowing this sort of continued harassment to happen is just as ridiculous as these continued "baseless character assassinations". Maybe you'd think in a different light after you've been repeatedly harassed and stalked online for the course of a year or more. I also imagine if HTC gave a candid response such as "we're looking into it", people wouldn't be so quick to jump on it on the BBS.

In any case I agree that there's no need for it to be posted on here if someone hasn't first contacted HTC about it through the proper means.

That's all I'm going to post in this thread about that.
It's almost 7am, so forgive me if this doesn't make complete sense. Time for a couple hours of sleep. :)

Nice post Scotch you beat me to it, not much more I could add other than I would be sceptical of any real result through 'proper' channels the guy seems to work for them that is the reason it does not go down that route, therefore the forums is the only place left for this compliant. Perhaps a phone call is in order if I have the time and the proper dialing codes.  :salute

 :rofl   some are  :noid

I never have seen any footage of film or screenshots or whatever of the gameid: Badboy  ever doing anything against the rules of good conduct

as for whoever these other "shade gameids" that the muppets and now others who have joined the fray ( ??? The Few ??? is that the Eagle Aces? Baby? or is it the "The DFC Few"......... in any case...... whoever these supposedly shade gameids are, they must be competition to all of you, the way it seems to get under your skin...

kind of reminds me of the way certain players of the game had the knack of being able to get others so riled up that they would end up making a mistake and getting their cartoon six sent back to the tower.....

so much Drama, I swear........ if these "shade account gameids" are that much of a threat, you better get to practicing so you will be able to dismiss them at ease when they seem to come in and harass you or you all if you are flying in groups of 2 or more......

seriously though...... if you got proof of anyone regardless if they are an Aces High Volunteer staff member or Trainer or CM or whatever..... if you got proof and film etc of someone doing something against the TOS.... by all means send it to HTC and get it sorted out.....

I myself would not condone it, even if it was my own Father doing the "Bad Thing"....... and I would report  em just the same......

but please.........  drop the Drama....... it is starting to get old like those 70's show reruns.......

have a great day all you AH Addicts
