The not-so-new anti-theft/anti-idiot device known as the stick shift ftw :rock  Even though it hurts to drive a stick because of a hunting accident, I still love driving my truck with the manual trans every day.

The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

I think we probably have the same reasons. Here in my town, it is suprising on how many people don't know how to drive a standard so for the longest time, I never bothered to lock it at night. (my CD player wasn't working anyway)

Yeah that is pretty much because of how many traffic lights, stop signs, etc in my town. Granted I don't live in huge town (population is something like 365K+) but its so spread out. Automantics are the way to go for lot of the people out here. I'd much rather have standard though.

not at all, it makes it so driving is fun, instead of a chore. The only automatic i've ever liked driving was my friend's Plymouth Satellite, and that was because its old. And you'd be surprised how many people don't know stick.

Yes I would as in Europe people actually learn to drive... i.e. not in High school but actual driving schools etc... and automatics are not common place, in fact here in the Netherlands, they are talking about adding it to the license as a as a requirement in order to drive an automatic, you need to have a check ride.
