And then there are those nights
« on: October 07, 2010, 07:57:11 PM »
Where I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat.

Started out okay.  Log on, nobody on, that's cool buff trip.  By the time I log off 5 players in.  Go to the store do some things around the house, log in, 14 players.  Roster check heeeyyy some good ones too.

Think I have a line on Puma in his 51 take a shot, oh crap that's ho, don't shoot stupid...  dive.  Unfortunately I think he had the same idea. Collision.. sorry Puma.  And it just went downhill from there.

Still beats the heck out of anything else I might have been doing ... <S> all

It was a fun night good fights all.

<S>

One thing I didn't know the USAAF had the 109. I shot Hoey down in one while he was Allied. Somebody might want to check the setup.

Jaeger came in and fixed it.  Seems that squad has no interest in respecting anything about the AvA.

No offense taken, my friend.  However, I do take offense from the (polite word here) trash talk that was spewing back and forth between 3 or 4 people.  It was basically a lot of unnecessary, childish.......well, I'm gonna stop this sentence here.  Someone mentioned playing with their $15 they way they wanted.  Well, here's another angle.  I'm not paying my $15 to listen to the juvenile chest bumping.  That kind of talk is one of the reasons I quit playing in the MAs. The AvA has developed into well behave crowd that is respectful to each other and intent on just having fun.  So, for those who can't refrain from that kind of playground gibberish, please let me be the first to invite you back into the MAs.

While the gang was spewing at each other, Jappa and I completely deacked A20 with no opposition.  I gather because no one was paying any attention to the game.  Then!  Someone upped.  So, we did a celebratory flyby to salute our next adversary.

Thinking this Jug would start turnin' and burnin' with us, we let him climb and speed up.  Nope...auto climb.  So, I figure it one of those engage in throwing verbal rocks at each other.  So, I tell Jappa I'm going to join up with him.

So, I do.......nothing, not even a twitch.  All the time the rocks are going back and forth.

I fire a couple rounds off to see if I can get a reaction........nothing and thinking this guy is so busy trashing someone else, he doesn't even know I'm here.  So, what was I to do?

...as his tail is falling off, no reaction.

As it turns out, it wasn't one of the rock throwing offenders.  It was Sooner.  My most sincere apologies, Sir!  Definitely not my normal MO.  :salute

Hehehe.  Was fun.  I started as Axis because of the numbers.  Flew a few sorties, landed a few kills.  Then most Allied logged, so I switched.  Flew rest of the night in a P51 (even though all Axis planes were enabled at A20 - I've got adult-type integrity) and the last couple in a P38.  Still getting used to the short friendly icons and no enemy icons, but it's these types of differences that make it fresh and fun compared to the other arenas.

 :rofl

Sorry Puma but it's good to know I wasn't the only guy with an Awshoot moment tonight!   :rofl

On a positive note because I need to crash.  I relogged because Cap mocked me :P  and did okay.  Fantastic to see and wing with Oldman for the first time in a long time.  Got away from the group and got jumped.  Right wing halfway gone and I disengaged.  Jaeger escorted me 2 or 2.5 sectors back to my base while I was barely holding my pony in the air.  <S> Sir..

Didn't know it was him at the time but I knew it was one of the regs when the bullets stopped flying... I think I just said all I need to say on the subject.

Yeah, Dichotomy, it is gratifying to see some "stand up" behavior such as this.  Much more class doing it this way than going for the cheap, score building shot :bolt:

All of that stuff aside what's Saturday look like to everybody?  I wouldn't mind getting a group of regs online at the same time and beating the crap out of each other at a mutually agreeable time...

Puma.. Indeed sir..
