Sound muffled - missings sounds

New problem started tonight.  Muffled engine sounds, muffled interplane comms - no hit sounds.  Worked fine last night.  Only thing new is Adobe update.  tried soft reset - no joy.  Tried hard reset - no joy.  Virtually unplayable if you don't want to die an absurd death.

I have heard of an Adobe update causing problems with more than just the sound.  Which update was it?  What operating system does your computer have on it?

It was a security update for Win7 64bit.

However, I identified the problem, and it was not related to the update - it was related to operator error (most likely from flying after returning from a beer release party...)  The volume control for the front channels on my Turtle Beach headset was turned down to near zero, so I was getting audio mostly from the subwoofer channel.

Sound issue for me as well.. no updates done except HT game update.,sounded fine last night. Logged on today, no sounds period. Finally messed with game sounds and have them back (just need adjustments) except,,it sounds like i'm in a large . empty room, echoing.

Disregard. ;last patch screwed up every sound setting i had,, all back to as close to normal as possible.
