Ah, the 202!  A gentleman's rapier, not a peasant's pitchfork.  Take all the guns you can load, including the 7.7s in the wings.  Set the convergence for 200 yards or less.  The two 12.7s in the nose fire a weird bullet with a mouse-sized explosive charge; it doesn't work well at any kind of range and the rate of fire of the guns is very slow (don't confuse them with Ma Deuce).  Practice aiming at the enemy's cockpit and forget about snapshots.  You have to get on his/her six and stay there while you put his/her plane over gross weight.

Ignore all the business about draining the wing tanks first.  It really doesn't matter.

What is the Allied plane set?  You can probably out-climb them all.  The P-38G is your biggest worry (other than Hurri IIC hizookaweasels), also the Spit 5.  You can outclimb both and out turn the 38.  It's a very close fight though, be werry werry careful.

wish i could join in on that one.  My advice keep your E and alt.  My main tactic against the C2 is to bleed its E down, it a horrible turner then.  You should be able to eat the p40's for dinner

Heh, don't bother trying to shoot down the bombers.  The Wildcat is toast, just stay above it.  The P40E is a great fight, similar to 38G, but easier to stay above it as well.  Both are very tough planes to shoot down with the 202's pathetic armament.  Bring rocks.

yep I just got back from offline.. any CV setting beyond 200 is pointless... I think I'll go with tracers on tonight.. I've never once in an FSO managed to bounce anybody but perhaps I can scare someone into doing something stupid.

I really appreciate it Old <S>

Same here, Dichotomy.  Plus, I don't get lost near as much when flying in circles.    :lol

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,147070.0.html

I'd suggest flying as a guest with a registered squad a couple of times to get a feel for it.  Registered squads all take turns as CiC to plan a whole side's attack/defense strategy for one frame - usually only once a year.  Myself and many of the Ironhorsemen fly for the 325th Checkertails in FSO (hence my signature).

Thank you, but I have trouble planning ahead more than a few hours.  I'll get in there at some point, not to worry!
