While the FW190-F8 should be more heavily armored. I find the F-8 is as easy to damage or get a pilot wound in as any other 190 in the game. However I don't fly them much but maybe Lusche would know if that is true about the 190s. I don't really see where the ack is more deadly now then before.
Typical damage model for 190,
hit in elevators = pilot wounded,
hit in tail = pilot wounded,
hit in tail section = pilot wounded,
hit in wings = pilot wounded + radiator,
hit in canopy = REALLY pilot wounded...+ radiator + oil,
hit in engine = pilot wounded + oil + radiator.
n00b spraying at 1k = pilot wounded
bullet misses you by 10 foot = 4 second delay on pilot wound.
Its like someone choose to ignore the fact 190s had pretty decent armour and because they had bubble canopys + 10'ed it on the PW factor

A typical sortie breaks down as
avoid HO on first pass but n00blet ruddering like crazy spraying arrghh wtf a pilot wound?! Ok still good its only a PW after all, about to get gun solution on said sprayer here comes the PW. OK can see again oh no there 2 now were did he come from ok still good. About to get guns on new guy wake up from PW there are now 3 cons (repeat as many times as neccessary to die!)
Light up ciggy have a drink wonder why you play a game were the screen is black 60% of the time.
