R.I.P VansCrew
« on: October 22, 2010, 11:28:13 PM »
Today I found our my Grandfather, the REAL VansCrew passed away today at 87 years old. Ive been down there with him for the past few weeks while he was in the Hospital, but i had to return home for work related issues. My Grandfather was a B-17 Pilot who flew with the 8th AH  303 Bomb Group 360th Bomber Squad (H) in Molesworth, England. He is the reason why i love WW2 and why i started playing this game i still love to this day. I would like you guys to keep him and my family in your prayers.

I would also set a memoral flight for him up with the help of CM. The time is hard to say when, ill be going back down to Monday to spend time with the family. I cant start to say how much i regret not being there for him in his hour of need, but from what i was told it was a peaceful and painless passing after being in the hospital for 3 weeks.

:salute To a great hero. May he rest in peace. Unfortunately we are well on our way to losing this great generation, but they and their deeds live on in our memories.
