I am headed for Austin tommorrow on public relations detail (parents) while Im there I am for sure I am going to get sucked into Best Buy like a fat woman walking past a candy store.  My delimma is such:

I have a logitech wingman extreme digital 3d (AKA "shitstick") and I am in the market for a new stick, I dont want to get a new throttle hotas set I just want a stick, I amr strongly leaning in the direction of this

Saitek Cyborg 3D gold.

anyone got one?
any ideas??

Before I bought one of those I would take a look at these reconditioned X36 USb controllers. I just got one about a month ago and you can't beat it especially for $39.95 plus shipping.  http://www.viaweb.com/saitekusa/recprod.html

That must be the uglyest joystick I've ever seen!

Well.. If its good I guess.. no, I still wouldn't have that monster sitting on my computer table heheh =)

Personally I'd like a very small stick with only ~5mm turn radius.. Finger controller..  Too bad there are none around.

yup sid, that for sure, it reminds me of those robotic skeleton things in the movie  Terminator, but it is by far the nicest feeling stick i have ever had, plus  you can adjust they tilt of the hat and trigger and other things.  <sits back and realizes that paragraph is could be easyly taken as a nasty sexual in-yer-window>

I use the x-36.

I almost tried the cyborg. Its interesting but cheap.

Get good gear buy it once thats my advice.

I payed 70 usd for a throttle and stick. That unbeatable.

If you dont have usb its costing you fights.

I played with the x-36 at best buy but i was just not happy with the way it felt, however the horrid looking cyborg fits me well, I have rather large hands so lots of joysticks dont feel nice to me.
On a side note the borg doesent spike ANY! I mean not 1 iota.  amazing stick.
