I look at it this way......

If they have time to model all that B.S. for CON night....

Why are we STILL waiting for planes like the He-111....

Something players have been asking for , for like 10 years?

It probably took them one (maybe two) days to make the models.  Probably took an hour or two to apply an existing flight model to it and tweak it.   Creating a new plane to add to the game takes much longer, since they need to model it accurately and make sure the flight model is a true-to-life as possible.  If you guys are so wrapped up in this game to complain about something as trivial as this, you need to take some time away.

When you model a UFO there is very little need to create incredibly accurate 3D models based upon hours of historical research.

There is also little need to carefully model the flying characteristics to match the known physics and performance of an historical vehicle.

In other words it is a little bit of fun for the guys who spend much time and effort on Aces High as well as fun for the con participants.

All work and no play makes people go work somewhere else.

For once it'd be nice to see something actually based on reality.

You got your 'once' when we had the ME163 as a con plane.  So there.  :neener:

I look at it like this, it's a fun project and change of pace from the every day grind. Plus the name of the company is not Uptown Creations.

Don't forget Santa and his sleigh on Christmas Eve.  And that giant friggin' pumpkin.  That's a Beaufighter and two new maps there too prolly.    :noid

Can't believe people are complaining about this.

I have no clue what it takes to produce the planes in here, but I do know what it is to work. Sometimes its nice to do something a little different, like make a spaceship or a shark. Something light and fun. Anything different for a refreshing change of pace.

Uptown Creations has a nice ring to it  :lol

Those are good points about the time it takes to model real aircraft as opposed to sci-fi. As far as the con ships goes i guess it would be a good change of pace for the staff at HTC and the attendees of the con. I can buy that.

I'm just voicing an opinion and thinking out loud here. There shouldn't be any reason to think i'm untight, stressed or out of my mind. jeez guys.

Yeah, last year was first maybe, or at least first time I saw it.
