I'm happy to hear from someone on the HTC staff on this one :). I do try to be opened minded. This is why i brought this up. I wanted to know what others thought. Seems my perspective on the con missions isn't in tune with the vast majority here. Me not having a clue on the time and effort that goes into these things doesn't help matters any. Sometimes I just have to ask questions and voice my opinion however unpopular it may be.
I still love ya HTC. I;m just not a big fan of the evil con missions I guess. But i'll keep trying.  :old:

I would like to fly around in a pink suit shooting rainbow colored lightening bolts out of my bellybutton on con night. I think that would be epic!!!  :rock

I knew Voss never left......................... ..............    :bolt:

Uptown Creations has a nice ring to it  :lol

Those are good points about the time it takes to model real aircraft as opposed to sci-fi. As far as the con ships goes i guess it would be a good change of pace for the staff at HTC and the attendees of the con. I can buy that.

I'm just voicing an opinion and thinking out loud here. There shouldn't be any reason to think i'm untight, stressed or out of my mind. jeez guys.

I thought it was hilarious during the discovery phase.  After a few sorties, it was apparent that 'that was all there was to it', and that was fine, it was no trouble to move to another area of the map and find other like-minded individuals.

The thing I liked the most about it though was the fact that as I was flying against them, I was hearing wonder, and laughter on range channel.  That doesn't happen often enough in this game.  Usually it's bickering about something or complaining about how someone got shot down, but for a couple hours Saturday night, people were actually just having fun.

It's SPECIAL for the folks who could and did make the Con.
Yep, and it says a lot about the people at HTC for doing it for them every time.

The build up before the CLAW launch was priceless. There were 50+ Knights & Rooks circling at about 20-46k! trying to reach the mothership before it came down. When the mothership finally came down and all those CLAWS dropped out of its butt the reaction on range channel was great! Everyone was panicking and quoting old SciFi movie's, man it was great.

And it only happens once a year for a few hours so get over it if you don't like it.
