interesting, for comparison the X52 Pro's resolutions are:
X/Y axes 1024
Z axis 512
Throttle 256
Trim pots 256

You have to keep in mind that the resolutions are based on full rotation of the pot/HE Sensor. Most joysticks don't make full use of that movement. I also have the top maybe 10% of my throttle calibrated out (due to issues with FSX) and fixing that would increase my throttles' resolutions, but it's not a big deal. If you have a POT with a 1024 resolution, but it only rotates 90% of the way, then in reality the resolution is really only 900-925 or so, which is probably why my stick's resolution measures out at about 900. Trim resolution is about 200 (probably 256 in reality). Throttle resolution is about 112 (maybe 128?). I haven't gotten around to messing with the pedals at all, but it all fits in...
The G940 is nice because (with centering turned off) there is no center spot for the stick to get stuck on, but the reversal bug is still quite the pain.
