Flight Simulator Team
« on: October 27, 2010, 01:31:25 PM »
I'm looking for an electronics expert to join my team .I am building a flight Sim that will enable you to have a  full 360 deg  nonstop rotation on pitch roll and  yaw .What i need is  someone who would be interested in helping configure all the electronic variables  for this   project, including  joystick and peripherals  as well as dc motor and harnesses.Monitor cable wiring and  much more.Money may be  made at  some point but as for now,its purely a labor of  love.I could defiantly use advice through entire build to pull it all together. Please respond if you are interested i believe this  could be a great adventure that will eventually lead to riches

                                                                                                                                                   Thank  Erik Morgan(AKA) GrimReaper

I guess Google got this one right.  From the OP's spelling of his thread title, it seems Google brought up the correct picture when searching for "Erik Morgan".

/Not sure what ill charge anyone interested,LOL .But I have a  gut  feeling when it comes  to this concept  that money will be  tossed at us once its in production as a  training tool for Paratroopers ,choppers, planes cars and much more INCLUDING G- training..A big market would be amusement ride with 3d pre-programmed visual stimuli with wraparound monitor.Although your mind can be tricked after about 30 deg roll unlike most other sims you will actually feel the G-force in a true nonstop roll or loop.A car Crash in this sim would really throw you around. lol, especially a  end to end roll and flip in Nascar,or need for speed Games.

For a 5% ownership in your company, I would advise you to post it in the officer's club.  Interesting idea but for military training pretty sure defense companies have lots of patents and attorneys to keep you grounded.

Now why is that name oddly familiar?
you will actually feel the G-force in a true nonstop roll or loop.
I'm intrigued to now how you're going to generate sufficient centrifugal force in anything smaller than a large warehouse to accurately simulate a loop or a high G turn. Hell, if you can manage to replicate even 2G I'll be impressed.

I assume you have a basic concept in mind?

I'm guessing once you solve the unrestricted movement along 3 axis's (big sphere sitting on a bed of controllable bearings?) your biggest challenge will be to find a way to extract useful commands from whatever flight simulation program you use, to impart to your servos.
