Ive had to change my choice of planes because if these runtards and fly plane that can 320 or faster on the deck! If I want to fly a fun airplane I have to go to DA or a mid or early war arena.
It's sad but true. I've had to up Ponies and La-Las just to chased down all the runners. I can't believe how few folks will engage these days.
"people will fight their way..."
OK, it's a free country, but can anyone help me understand why flying round for 10 minutes toward an enemy base, then running from anything you see for another 10 minutes, meeting some friendlies and turning to re-engage only to compete with three friendlies all trying to get a ping on the same bandit, and flying back to base to land 1 assist...is a "way" that anyone would want to play the game?
Challenge you're one of the people that play this "way". Can you explain why simply staying alive for long periods of time is a goal, even if it means not engaging anyone, ond/or flying around in a corner of the map where there are no cons? If that's the case, the Tower is the safest place to stay alive and has the added benefit of not waisting other people's time. I recommend hanging out in the tower and seeing if you can set a record for staying alive the longest.
The problem with this "way of playing" is that it is antithetical to the object of the game, and hence is very inconsiderate to those that waste time on you. You are not in a vaccuum. If you fly your plane out into the arena, people will invest time trying to engage you, because that's the object of the game. If your pupose was to lure them up to you, so you can run, than they do have a legitimate complaint about your "game play style".
When you play tennis, do you ask to serve first, then bounce the ball for 40 minutes "preparing to serve" until your opponent walks off, at which point you serve with his back to you and yell "10-luv" when he doesn't return it? Would you then pride yourself on never having lost a point in a tennis match? Don't you think the person you were playing, who paid for court time, and gave up time with their friends and family or Job to have a tennis match with you, would have it right in thinking you're a jack---?
People should play as if what their opponent's time and fun matters because it's a game. Sportsmanship is paramount.
