When are you going to be in Amarillo next week?

Maybe the 15th or 16th, hoping for a good weather window~ hoping to meet up w m'sqaddie WWhiskey down there.

My 150 has been a great ride, really sharp razorback straight tail. 100lbs lighter than the later model 150/152, makes them a smidge faster and they climb out a lot better too. I'm going to miss the nose wheel too on crosswind landings and takeoffs... get one Cap!

i fly out of N14....our club only has one cessna left(which means either find another club, or transition to the pipers, which i don't like as much as cessnas). it's a 79 152. i think it's a commuter?

anyway, i got checked out in it a couple of years ago. one of the days we were flying it it was about 90F, and somewhat humid. i forget what the density alt. was. my cfi is 220, i'm 160. that had us right on gross weight. that thing climbed like a wounded duck with weights on it's ankles.

i liked it solo though.....smaller than the 172's i was used to, but fun to fly.

Bummer, I'm passing through this week for a work trip.  Have a great ride.  This time of year should be nice and smooth with relatively  cooperative winds.

High wingers are pretty nice for lookie loo. Ever go to Republic field in Farmingdale L.I.? Airpower Museum there is really cool, and you are in NuuuuJersey right? not far. They have airworthy p40s,a Jug, AT-6s, C-47, TBM, F4U and a nice museum with an in process Catalina.

I'm in Arizona, Seadog.  Never been to the museum you mention but, it certainly sounds like worth a visit.

It is dwarfed by Planes of Fame in Chino but it is the closest warbird venue for me. I'm pretty sure Planes of Fame has a museum in AZ too.

In my travels through Tucson I never got the opportunity to visit the airplane graveyard but I drove all around it :)

You guys would love our Pima Air Museum  http://www.pimaair.org/.  The museum also offers guided tours in the Boneyard  http://www.amarcexperience.com/AMARCDescription.asp .  If you're ever in town, it's worth the visit.  To really see it all, plan on a whole day.  It'll take that long to soak it all in. Highly recommended!  :aok
