direct x beta probs in me

hell there i have a unfortunate but interesting problem. having installed windows me in my comp i put direct x 8 into it and immeadiatly got this vers has expired message ( no warning before this time durring install ) now the first time it happened i couldent for the life of me figgure out how to uninstall it . did a find folders and looked all in controlpanel. finnaly did the one thing i used to like about me. a time restore back to befor i  installed direct x8 but guess what ? it didnt go away and now every time i play i get this version has expired boxes like tribbbles in my comp . i have done severaly searches to find a current version or a way to remove it and go back to 7a . by the way i got a 20 to 25% loss in frame rate frome 98 v1 to me.

i get about 30 when away from bases and 20 when aound um i dont want to talk about smoke.

cellery 366 clocked to 550
voodoo 3 2000 pci ( not over at all it dont help)
sound blaster 512 ( when i do play now i get loud pops and hisses all the time)

good no! i will eventualy but isent there a current 8 beta? or a way to rever to 7a? just seems like one must be possible

Older betas are giving you that stupid message...
I heard some of betas got somekind of "Un-Installer" if you just find it first. Not sure if this is true.

me go bye buy whole system speeded up connecting  10 k faster . 5 more fps accross the board all better now thanks tho i really appreciate the help guys . windows me was a utter failier to me and not worth the 50 bucks , get windows r2 and have fun .

p.s. was gettin evern better connects befor security updates from msn update so might do the whole thing again lol.
