I'm not sure where I heard that, but wiki says top speed almost 350

Pe-2 is the most needed russian plane, in my oppinion, and bare with me on this guys, the poll should just be about what order the A/C are added,
ie 1st place gets added first and so on and so fourth, what does everybody think of that, because we "need" almost everyplane on the poll so if they all get added?

I think that's a great idea.

30k :)

For those that do not like to think in numbers: Imagine a plane flying faster than our Ki-67 but at 30k instead of 20k (you know how difficult it can be to intercept a 67), with more bombs than a Lancaster and having the durability & firepower of a B-17 (at least).

I can only imagine what it's like to intercept thndrEGG and his Ragged Irregulars flying that beast in tight formation...  :uhoh

The reason I ask is because most people don't have the patience to fly buffs to 30k which means most of the time the B29 (if it wins and HTC does add it) would usually be seen at 20K or so. This means it won't be as fast because it's not flying at high alt and it'll be easier to intercept.

How many times do you catch Ar234's or Mossie 16's flying above 20k?

If it's heavily perked they probably will ;)

Even at 20 it would be a very difficult target, it's still more like a Ki-67 than a Lanc speedwise...

The Arados rarely go above 20k, because they are so fast that there is no real need to, and 20k is optimum altitude for them anyway. They don't gain much from climbing higher.

Only Mossie16 sortie I have done was at 28,000ft.

I missed the poll...

We must think what are the planesets that need more models, and most representative models, not only the planes we would like to fly around in...

So far, the US and UK planesets are quite complete... The British planeset could use a EW/MW bomber, maybe the Wellington. The german planeset IMHO only needs one aircraft to reach the same level: the He-111.

The major problems are in the Japanese planeset - now a little Bettyer - the Russian and the Italian planesets...

The Russian planeset needs desperately of a fighter, a medium bomber and maybe - I say maybe - a heavy bomber (maybe not).

The Italian planeset needs desperately of, at least, one medium bomber and maybe, maybe, another fighter.

But the greatest HOLE in AH planeset id the French... It's a pity that we do not have the D520, and one French medium and one heavy bomber represented.

I would go for the He-111 first, then move to the Russian planeset. Then to the French and the Italian one on each turn until all basic models were in here...

But I lost the poll...

For more than 10 years now, German Iron squads do have only a dreadfully slow & vulnerable EW bomber to use. I agree, getting an even slower one would close the biggest gap we have in the German planeset.

I vote for the Beau, no the He-111, no the Pe-2. Gosh darn it I can't decide, they're all going to look so good in the hanger.

The Poll pops up in a box when you log into any on line arena....

I imagine it's there until you vote.

I went with the Beaufighter.  But sadly, I don't think it'll make the first cut.  Too many people want the B-29.  Which it too bad IMO.
