Just try and follow by the set norms, and if you want, here's how I think about making new threads/using old ones:
1) Is the for the A-26 or B-25? If yes, see 6).
2) Is there already a thread on the same topic? If yes, see 3). If no, see 6).
3) Is that thread under a month old? If yes, see 4). If no, see 6).
4) Is old thread retarded? If yes, see 6), if no, see 5).
5) Use old thread.
6) Make new thread (and maybe use bits from the old one, if 4) was a no).
