How to make the Betty a real weapon.

Baka (Fool), otherwise known to the Japanese as the Ohka. (cherry blossom)
This aircraft was a purpose-built, human guided missile with a 2600 pound armor piercing warhead.
Deadly effective, and a terror to the American task forces when it was launched succesfuly.

The aircrafts mission was the destruction of enemy shipping, and when it all came together, the Ohka was very effective at sinking American ships when the Betty (mother ship) that carried it could approach within firing range of a task force un-molested. ( a feat that eluded the Japanese on many an occasion).

No other Simulator that I know of has had success at emplimenting, or even tried to introduce this suicide weapon..., but seeing as we will soon have the carrier aircraft (launch platform) associated with this suicide weapon introduced to Aces High, It also seems logical that a way should/could be found to impliment it with a VERY high perk cost inherent to the implementation of such an effective weapon.

With the almost universal complaint that CV guns are too accurate in mind, I request that this weapon system be implemented to give us bomber pilots somthing other than Mosquito's to spend our perks on.
It is also my belief that such a highly perked, effective alternative would balance the effectivness of CV ack against the speed and daring of players whom are willing to pay the astronomical price for flying such an effective craft, at such a high perk cost.

Its invariably a shot in the dark, hard to do, and almost silly to even suggest..., but maaan would it bring a sense of originality to this platform!
Emagine a cost of 900 perks, and approach the idea from that perspective.

- Pilot must fly it to the target leaving his bombers in auto pilot (defence for bombers? hire a gunner)
- make it worth perks so no matter what you lose something
- Count as a death in score as attack

I whole-heartedly agree.

As a suicide plane all perks would be lost sense no landing was made after the strike...

Furthermore I would suggest that no perks would be awarded for destroying targets, sense the effectivness of the Ohka would be so high, and the mission of the plane is so sinister.
In short, there would be no reward but the destruction of the target you meant to destroy, outside of the (single) carrier Betty.
If during your approach to the CV your Betty survived (or killed fighters) then those kills would count appart from the Ohka... (just as any other bomber)
But yes, your carrier airplane should remain on auto level as long as you man the Baka.

It was never either very deadly or much of a terror. By the time it was finally fielded American radar, carrier pickets, proximity shells, and defensive aircraft had evolved to the point where the chances of a Betty bomber getting close enough to a CV to launch the thing was about zero. I dont think anything bigger then a DD was ever sunk by one of these things. For sure no CV was even damaged by one. Were lucky the Japs didn't spend the resources on standard airframes for Kamikaze work cause they were far more effective.

The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka had to be one of the biggest failures of a weapons system in the war.
