i was thinking of adding more ram to my system.  i now have 1 256mb stick of pc133 ram.  when i add more do they also need to be 256mb or does it hurt anything to have different size ram in each slot?

Size doesn't matter in that case.

Your system may not be able to handle more then 512MB total (if it's 815-based mobo), 265 may be the maximum you could add.

You would have to be more specific what you have.

Be cautious of adding too much ram.  Win 9x/mil has a built in limit of 512mb.  It can be changed via registry hacks, but the trouble far exceeds any performance gains for most people.
