my head hurts

got a whole heads worth of headache stuffed entirely on the left side of my head. nothing's killing the pain.....the friggin light hurts.........#$%$#$%$%%$#$

i don't think its a migraine, they are not normally centered only on one side of the brain. but pinched nerve in the neck, tooth abscessing, sinus infection due to allergens or chemical exposure are all possibles.

but there could also be far more serious issues at work here.  

  my best advice is that if the pain is that severe you need to do two things;

first go to the doctors office, isolated pain that bad is not normal for any headache.  

second stop flying P-38's!!!!!! those damn double eggbeaters give everyone headaches!!!!!!!

2 good possibilities i had forgotten.......the sinus issue.......our weather just went down the pooper, rather quickly...and the last couple times it changed quickly like this, this happened......the other, is that i torqued my back pulling a transmission out of a ranger the day before last. since then, i've had off n on sciatic type pain in my right leg.....so it's possiblke that that too is helping drive this dam headache........

Actually migraine headaches can stay focused on a single side of the head, they usually spread to the entire head but it is not uncommon to stay on one side.

I thought they were mostly on one side of the brain. anyway my cure is pretty much the same as for hangovers - a small but strong coffee, then a good dose of aspirin or paracetamol with at least a pint of water, then 30-40mins exercise with more water along the way. that should eliminate most of the possible causes. 10-15mins into the exercise it will feel twice as bad, then improve

your right, it starts on one side and i guess may tend to eminate around the entire brain from there. got a friend who gets them so bad he needs shots to get rid of them, been taken to the emergency room a couple of times. i called and asked him and his always start on the right side but in a couple hours if he doesnt get a shot (he said the name of the medicine but i cant remember it now) it is his entire head that feels like its gonna explode.
