The 410 will not be a great fighter I dont believe.

The Me 410 wasn't a great fighter to begin with, so it's not going to be very surprising except to a very few that the Me 410 isn't going to be a great fighter in game.

The B29 was built a long time ago and they have chosen not to allow us to see it.  And in typical, sly, HTC fashion, I believe we will not even have an update at it's introduction.  We'll get the B29 "unlocked" one night and then the 410 whines start up........  48 hours later we will download the new patch with the me410.

It's like that, and that's the way it is.

Me410 was a buff killer and it excelled at its job.  They were just too little too late, and it got out classed by the escorts.  It's faster and has a higher ceiling than a 110, but it cannot turn as well. 

Buff's v. 410's without escorts = high buff losses

You're probably going to have just as much success killing bombers with the 50mm cannon as the Me 410 pilots had in real life.

Me410 was a buff killer and it excelled at its job. 

It was used in the "bomber destroyer" role, not a dedicated buff killer nor did it excel in that role.  The only time the Me 410 enjoyed any success against the day light bomber raids is if it attacked unescorted groups.  If attacking escorted bomber formations, the Me 410's successes were always offset by their losses.  The Me 410 was also removed from the bomber interceptor role when in mid-1944 they were removed from "Defense of the Reich" duties and production was phased out soon afterwards.  By the end of the war, Me 410 was pretty much used only as a night fighter.

The Me 410 also had to be escorted by fighters when attacking escorted bomber formations, just like it's predecessor the Bf 110.

AH also said we'd never get the b-29.   I am going to get buses full of park benches to register and vote (early and often) for the 410.  I hope that the B29 get nixed.  Too much ord and too hard to intercept at alt.

The B29 was a war changer IRL, and it would have an overly profound impact on AH.   The only good thing I can hope for is that it is perked SO HIGH that people will not use these ridiculous machines like they do the Lanca-stuckas.  Then again, everyone has been storing bomber perks for so long, they can afford to waste them for the first 5 or 6 tours.

By the end of the war, Me 410 was pretty much used only as a night fighter.

I'm not sure it was even used in that role at war's end. The only night-fighting 410s I've heard of were the intruders of KG 51, who were also sometimes used in a Wilde Sau role in mid-'44.

From about August '44 (I think), KG 51 transitioned to 190s, then to 262s.

I think the 410s stayed in recce and Air-Sea Rescue units for the duration, but apart from one (apparent) incident which I've not been able to clarify, I don't think they shot at much past autumn 1944.
