New intelligence
« on: November 05, 2010, 11:28:04 PM »
Our disruptors are from Fighter Ace.  They aren't aware of the troubled history of AvA.  RTR and I had an extended discussion with them this evening.  Hopefully all will now be well.

I popped in for a little while after FSO.  They were snapping salutes and being nice.  Disaster averted; should be a good addition to the arena.

And man, vultchy can get that Corsair to dance...wow.

yep, what Oldman said.

It may take some re-edumacating but they are receptive, and they are good pixel pushers.

You know, all the best sticks in this game have a tie to the CT  (AVA for you noobs <G>), so its not surprising that this is where squadrons will try their luck.

When we get a group in here who fly well together its easy to assign a bad rep. Granted some reps are warranted, but  in reality...these guys just aren't that good.

They just know how to fly effectively together. They practice good squadron cohesiveness.

So... "Rammey"  Vulchey"  "Hoey".. I can honestly say that I haven't been Rammed, Ho'ed or vuclhed by any of them yet.

Individually are they good sticks?  Sure they are, but no more than any of the other talent in the AVA.

As far as the smack talking..I can't comment on that as I haven't experienced it...other than the normal teasing and ribbing you would normally expect.

Anyway...good to be back....I am one rusty puppy though!

cheers,
RTR

Don't misconstrue what I said.

I think these guys are good for the AVA. They are good sticks and they make you fight.

The AVA is a different experience and they will eventually see it for what it is.

I can honestly say that I haven't seen a bad side to them yet. Its been good and fun fights so far.

You know, its a hard arena to bring an entire squadron into. We all want it, but when it happens we fight against it.

We don't need to chase these guys away, we need to embrace them and educate them and hope more squadrons form in here.

just my humble opinion.

Well, they do still HO, pick, and gang, but so long as they are not shades seeking attention by ruining a good thing...of course, this still does not explain the total radio silence up until now...

as i said, i had a good fight or two against rammey. the only thing i've seen hoey do is come in and pick the con right off peoples 12, and seen vultchy.....well.....vulch... ..and he's done that "zoom out of the ground clutter" thing extensively.

when i get in next time, like i said.....they got a clean slate to prove themselves.

My biggest gripe was with the prevailing attitudes, not their abilities. They are good sticks.

Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and see where it leads.

"I think these guys are good for the AVA. They are good sticks and they make you fight."

With all due respect, I have to disagree.  It doesn't matter how good they are with their sticks. Bad behavior and language are unacceptable.  Earlier this evening two of the three of them were up to their same old act.  Another post shows unacceptable, juvenile language from one of them.  Also, their lack of response in these forums to explain themselves speaks volumes about their inadequate character.

The great attitude and civilized behavior of the AVA community is what has made it such a popular draw in recent months.

To the vast majority of AVA players, thanks for you effort and contribution to a fun experience.  :salute  :aok
