Pic from the battle over the carrier in 9/15 sector (I think it was 9/15, it was way over on the eastern side of the map :headscratch: :lol).  Ran into a Seafire CAP just west of the carrier, the battle went down to the deck after a minute or two.  I decided to pull the N1k's out after VF17 showed up with high hellcats, and us all low.  Good defence, I only think one of our bombers that I know of, made it back to base.

VF-17 Jolly Rogers stats:
Pilots: 7 Kills: 9 Assists: 7
Obj Destroyed: 0 Deaths: 0 Landed: 6
Bailed: 1 Captured: 0 Crashed: 0
Ditched: 0 Disco'd: 0

We only ended up getting 2 Georges in that exchange for the loss of one of our guys to a collision with a warping Peggy. That would have been a fun brawl if you guys had stayed.

We actually barely had enough fuel to get home with the N1k's, one didn't make it back and had to ditch with no fuel.  That and two of us had only half a tail (me and Baumer).  So I made the call when you guys showed up, to save what we could.  I think my exact quote was something like "High hellcats, it's going to get ugly guys, try to disengage"   Hopefully next time we will be in a better position to fight it out with you guys :aok
