After trying Win ME I changed back to W2K and it works just fine in my computer (P3 700@933 256Mb, Prophet2 MX and SB-live).

Is the "Blue screen of death" showing any messages in top of it?
I got some problems 'cause I installed W2K over ME without formatting HD first but after I formatted my hd and made "clean" install It have worked great.

Don't know if this will help, or not, but i got a blue screen when i tried to select 32 bit video with my Voodoo 3 2000. all i had to do was delete the video.cfg file, and the next time i went into AH it asked me to select the video options just like when you first install it.

good luck!

Hamish!

All settings show only a blue screen whitout any message.
When i select Z buffer i see an error message :

Initialization failed whit -3 mainGR3D_FAILED -3

I have Win98 2nd ed. and W2k installed in my PC, all HD are FAT32 formatted. In Win98 is all ok at all settings.

You don't have a VIA chipset.. dang.  I was hoping this was the ticket for you.  :/  Sorry.

Man, that's really wierd.  My brother also had a blue screen with no message covering the top half of the screen.  This occurred about 1 out of 3 times starting AH under Win2k.

I have never had this problem, and I use Win2k exclusively.  Strangeness....
