So, what exactly are the differences between the G-14 and K-4? Would like to see if G-14 actually would work more to my advantage.

#1 109F-4 Good maneuverability and speed.
#2 109G-2 Good turn ability and good for reversals, good gun and ammo package.

It was a malfunctioning Bf 109G-1 that killed Marseille.

Every time I see something from Strike Witches, I'm reminded that two nukes were, unfortunately, not nearly enough. No where close.

Also, Bf 109G-6. Mainstay of the series (12,000+ out of 33,000), quite nice flight characteristics. I like all of the earlier ones, though.

If it had been anyone else my "loser" plane in the bracket would have been a K4. But nooooo it had to be the polish guy.  :D

That's more like a drop in the bucket...
That franchise btw is strong.  2 TV seasons and a movie coming up in 2011. It's even credited for saving a studio company from going bankrupt.

and that stupid model shouldn't come with WEP!

Mercedes Benz only allowed 1.42 ATA wep when bf 109G-6s appeared.

Ermmm no.
G-1 was the initial production model of the G series. 167 Bf 109G-1s were built (WNr. 10299 - 10318 at Erla and WNr 14004-14150 at Messerschmitt Regensburg) and delivered to units beginning in June 1942.
The G-2 differed from the G-1 primarily in the lack of high altitude equipment (this pattern would continue through the G-6).

For me...as a person on the other side of the 109 ..... I find the K4 goes up more..doesn't turn as much although it does try but then goes up and when nose up can flip it's big nose down...or in pretty much any direction it wants and go that way..offering many nasty snap shop opportunities ....The G14...I find doesn't go vertical as well so makes this plane need to fight more of an angles turn fight (it does still have great up potential)...It has many of the characteristics of the K4 but less stunning...it does however have a good ability to turn more than the K4 and if it gets on you tail can stay there


Both have taters...both are horrible...

These are my unprofessional..uneducated observations

K-4 is faster and has better zoom climb.
G-14 has a slightly tighter turn radius.
Sustained climb is about the same between the two, some alts G-14 is better, some K-4 is better.
K-4 has more torque for whipping the plane around (one of the K-4's main advantages, very advanced technique though)
G-14 has more weapons options

I honestly love snaprolling the K-4 but I would like the turn advantage... Gonna try out the G-14 soon just to see if I like it.

The g14 used to be less stable than the k4. I haven't flown the g14 yet again to see if that's still the case.
The g14 has a more obstructed front view with the cowlings.
