Don't blame the model, blame the engine, it was an engine failure that did him in and filled his cocpit with smoke. Blame Daimler Benz (even today their cars don't get the best reliability ratings).

No really, I like them all. But, I guess I find myself in the G models more often. But K4 and E-4 are fun too!  :devil

G2 and G6 cause my country had them during WW2.

In the MA the G14 to hang with the other LW Planes, more gun choice then the K4 and a bit more agile. The K4 is nice versus multiple enemys when you just can engage the "I win, so long suckers" WEP Button and climb away  :D

When I am in the mood for a 109, I usually go to the K model, but based on this thread, I gave the G-14 another chance, and do I ever like it better.  Similar ish performance to the K, but a lot more stable at low speeds.  I'll probably change my tune if I ever learn to manage the torque snaproll indie kick flip type moves, but for general flight, the G-14 is my new favorite.

G14 has become my 109 ride of choice. Mostly because it is so versatile! I can dog with the 30 or 20 mm, go buff hunting with the gondies and rockets and knock out gv's with the 500kg! That and This has to be one of the best skins ingame...
